The Oxnard Police Community Foundation is hosting the 805 Hero Walk in cooperation with Carry the Load to honor fallen first responders and military members in Ventura County. You are invited to join us on April 29th for a 3-mile walk that will begin and end at Oxnard State Beach Park which is located at 1601 S. Harbor Blvd in Oxnard, California. Last year we had over 240 folks from public safety and from our community walking together to honor the fallen and this year we expect over 300 so come out and join us for this amazing FREE community event. This is event is for all fitness levels and will be at a leisurely pace.

The spirit of Carry the Load is “Who are you carrying?” and symbolizes carrying your fallen brother or sister. I am a United States Marine Corps Veteran and served Ventura County as a Police Officer for 29-years. I started this local event last year as a way to honor the fallen in our community and as a way to bring first responders and the community together. This year we have rebranded our walk as the 805 HERO WALK and my wife and I are proud to partner with The Oxnard Police Community Foundation and Carry the Load. Mark your calendars and bring out the family and your social pets to walk with us on April 29th beginning at 9am. We ask that all walkers register via this link and arrive by 8:45am. This year’s event is being hosted by the Oxnard Police Community Foundation (OPCF) which is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (#31954) (EIN 30-1220927).
